Seiko Launch Space Watch in India
Seiko watches, known for reliable and precise luxury watches, launched the "Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk" for the first time to an Indian audience in Mumbai. Other watches from the brand were also presented at the same time.
The "Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk" has particular notoriety because it was worn by Richard Garriot, the well known game designer and explorer, who wore one during his space travels in 2008.
Seiko have had an interest in the Indian market since the launch of Seiko Watch India Private Limited in 2007. The long term plan is to open Seiko own flagship stores in the most prestigious retail areas in major city centers throughout India but currently the watches are available in several up market outlets.
